Juniors

Our Super Kids training programs cover three age groups, 3 years to 5 years, 5 years to 12 years and 13 years to 16 years. We believe a well-structured martial art training program is more relevant in today’s society for young people than ever before. Whilst there is a strong emphasis on physical martial art skill ability, self-defence skills, fitness and strength, it is also the eternal changes that we see in our young students as their training progresses, that we focus on.

Through our training programs, we cultivate discipline through training, confidence in achieving goals, respect in themselves and others, inspiring others and a belief that they truly can accomplish anything. We can honestly say that all those who train, want to be there. All new students are warmly welcomed by the other students with friendship, support and encouragement

Black Belts

The coveted Blackblelt…… The distinct level that is the bench mark for any student who embarks on a martial arts training journey. Just the thought of being a blackbelt, means an ability to defend oneself, that a curtain level of skill has been attained, and theres a disciplined attitude in whatever the individual undertakes. Whilst this is correct, blackbelt is far more than that… No one starts martial arts training just to become a blackbelt, it is to far away, and to big a step to consider, however as training progresses, the enviable step to that level will mean the dream becomes the reality. Self confidence, self worth, a better understanding of yourself, the ability to effectively defend yourself, face your fears, and an improved level of confidence and discipline in whatever you do are some of the many benefits that come with attaining a Blackbelt. Our dojo is based on the principles of attaining a Blackbelt and effectively being able to defend yourself. We have Blackbelts training that started their training with us over 30 years ago and are still training every week, giving all students training with us the opportunity to tap in too,and learn from their experience…… Are you our next Blackbelt…..

Kick Fit

The kickfit training program allows students to train in a martial arts training environment where a student doesnt need to do a grading system to blackbelt, but still benefit from this style of training. Students are taught a number of kicking and boxing skills with sequences put together and applied to pads and punching bags offering an intense workout for cardio. As the student progresses and improves, more sequences are added. We also place a stronge emphasis on strength, stretching for flexibility and conditioning. Kickfit allows students to enjoy and benifits from this training without doing gradings and still achieve a high level of fitness and a very capable ability to defend themselves. Kickfit is for both men and women and is a very popular training program in our dojo.

Mini Ninjas

Through Mecha’s Mini Ninjas, I am able to combine my passion for Martial Arts and Early Childhood, to create a unique Early Years program. I have been a student of James Sheedy for five years, currently training towards my Black Belt. Alongside my training, I am a qualified Early Childhood Educator and am currently working towards a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. I value each child as an individual and can ensure that all children will benefit from this program. In collaboration with James Sheedy, a program has been developed, combing basic skills from a specialised Taekwondo syllabus and fundamental movement skills (FMS), delivered in a fun, active and engaging way.
